Trinity Academy: Trinity Academy

Education is the one field in which each of us has had an apprenticeship. Public or private, in the United States or overseas, as we all had experience with schooling. We each have our own notion as to what excellence in this field should look like and perpetuate. It is through the lens of our individual experiences in education that we discern whether or not a quality education is provided. However, today, research in teaching and learning has redefined the field of education. It has evolved from the schooling of our childhood. Educators now have comparative analyses to guide their approaches; this translates into the employment of "best practices" in their classrooms. Trinity Academy couples this cutting edge view of education with a commitment to maintaining a Christ centered environment.

I believe that every child is a unique creation of God with uncultivated genius within. It is the responsibility of the educator to break up the fallow ground in every child and unearth the genius. In all that we do, Trinity Academy must keep this permeating philosophy in play.

While maintaining a commitment to the intellectual development of our students through an engaging environment and extensively trained educators, the Trinity Academy focus on ministering to the whole child is paramount. It is our desire for each child to progress socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually, in concert with their academic growth. We employ developmentally appropriate practices as outlines by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), keep our class sizes low, differentiate our curricula, and maintain high expectations to meet this goal.

I learned at a young age that my gifts, talents, and abilities will always be subject to my character. Thus, I believe that the life-long process of character development is essential. With this is in mind, women into fabric of everything we do with our students is character training. We want the children of Trinity Academy to be responsible, honest, caring diligent, trustworthy, and faithful. These are qualities that go beyond the classroom and into adulthood. We keep our eye on the future of our students, while educating them in the present. Trinity Academy exists to prepare and equip each student to fulfill their God given destiny.
